Time tracking and export

Updated on 2 min Open in Cenedril

Goal View tracked consulting hours per client, filter them by period, client and status, and export them as CSV or PDF.

Cenedril tracks your consulting hours per client and collects them under Time Tracking. There you see every entry with its date, duration and status, filter by period, client and status, and export the filtered result as CSV or PDF. You can add missing time manually at any point.

Open Time Tracking

Open Time Tracking in the sidebar

In the sidebar open Time Tracking (clock icon). The entry is available to Portfolio accounts on the Partner plan. The page lists your tracked hours per client; with the Admin or Owner role you see all time entries from consultants in the portfolio.

Time Tracking with the filter bar, total duration and the table of entries.

Read the list

The table shows each entry’s Date, Client, Start, End, Duration, Status and Note. The admin view adds a Consultant column. Above the table you see the Total duration of the entries currently shown and their count. Clicking a row opens the time entry with its details and change history.

Filter

Set period, client and status

Use the filter bar above the table. Pick the period under From and To, a single client under All clients, and a status label under All statuses. The admin view adds an All consultants filter to narrow down by person. The list, the total duration and the count update immediately.

The filters for period, client, consultant and status narrow the entries shown.

Add missing time

Add an entry manually

Click Add manually in the top right. Choose the Client, in the admin view also the Consultant, and enter Start and End plus an optional Note. Save adds the entry to the list, labelled Manually added.

Export

Choose a format and download

Click CSV or PDF in the top right. Cenedril builds the export from the currently filtered entries and downloads the file. CSV suits further processing in a spreadsheet or billing; PDF gives you a print-ready overview.

The CSV and PDF buttons export the list as currently filtered.

Result: you see your tracked consulting hours per client, filtered by period, client and status, add missing time manually, and download the filtered result as CSV or PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Who sees which time entries?

As a consultant you see your own tracked hours per client. With the Admin or Owner role the page shows all time entries from consultants in the portfolio, and an additional “Consultant” filter appears.

How do entries get into the list?

Most entries are created automatically while you work in a client. The timer stops automatically when you switch clients, at the 24-hour limit, and at midnight. You add missing time afterwards via “Add manually”.

Which export formats are available?

Two: CSV for further processing in a spreadsheet or billing, and PDF as a print-ready overview. Both exports respect the filters currently set.

Does the export include the filters?

Yes. The export contains exactly the entries shown in the list under the active filters for period, client, consultant and status. Set the filters the way you need them before exporting.

What do the status labels mean?

They show how an entry was created or ended: “Running”, “Manual”, “Manually added”, “Client switch”, “24h limit” and “Midnight”. Entries ended automatically by the limit or at midnight are highlighted in red so you can review them.
