In Cenedril you create a task by opening the task board under Tasks in Cenedril, giving it a name in the Backlog column with + New Task, and then filling the card with an assignee, an approver, a deadline and a priority. You track progress by moving the card across the four columns Backlog, Current, Approval and Done. Every status change is recorded in the history.
Create a task
Open the task board
In the sidebar open Tasks and select the Tasks in Cenedril tile. The board shows four columns: Backlog, Current, Approval and Done.
Create a new task
At the bottom of the Backlog column, click + New Task. An input field appears. Type a name in Enter task name and confirm with Add Task or the Enter key. The new task appears as a card in the Backlog column.
Assign and classify the task
Choose the assignee and the approver
The task card has two people fields: under Assigned to you pick the person who works on the task, and under Approval by you pick the person who signs off the result. Click the name in each field and select a person from the list.
Set the area and priority
Use the area menu at the top left of the card to classify the task, for example Information Security, Data Protection, Organization, Culture, Finance or Other. Under Priority you choose between Normal, High and Very High.
Add a deadline and notes
Click See details on the card. In the detail panel, set a date and time under Deadline and add further context under Notes. A missed deadline is highlighted in red on the card as long as the task is not yet done.
Track progress
You change a task’s status by dragging the card into another column in the Kanban view, or by changing the Status field in the detail panel. The four statuses mean:
- Backlog – the task is created but not yet started.
- Current – the assigned person is working on the task.
- Approval – the task is waiting for review by the approver.
- Done – the task is complete.
The assigned person moves the task between Backlog, Current and Approval. Only the person set under Approval by moves the task to Done. Every change appears in the Status Change History in the detail panel, with the person, the time and the old and new status.
The filter icon at the top right turns on Show only my tasks or brings completed cards back with Show archived tasks. The icon next to it switches between the Kanban and list views, and the area tabs above the board filter by area.
Result: the task sits on the board with its assignee, approver, deadline and priority. As it moves through Current and Approval into Done, its full history stays documented and traceable.
