Endpoint Management

Updated on 1 min

Endpoint management is the centralized administration of all of an organization’s endpoints — from provisioning through configuration and patch distribution to decommissioning. Tools such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or SCCM enable uniform management of heterogeneous device fleets.

Good endpoint management ensures all devices comply with security policies: current patches, enabled encryption, installed security software, and correct configuration. Compliance checks automatically report deviations, and non-compliant devices can be excluded from network access. For the ISMS, endpoint management provides the technical foundation for enforcing policies on endpoint security and BYOD.
