Threat intelligence is the systematic collection, processing, and analysis of information about current and emerging cyber threats. Sources range from public feeds (CERT advisories, CVE databases) through commercial services to industry-specific sharing communities. Within an ISMS, threat intelligence feeds into risk analysis and helps you assess threat scenarios realistically. Regular evaluation lets you adapt your security measures to the actual threat landscape. ISO 27001 Annex A.5.7 explicitly requires the use of such information.
