V-Model

Updated on 1 min

The V-Model is a software development lifecycle model in which each development phase has a corresponding test phase. The left side of the V covers specification and design; the right side covers the matching tests (unit, integration, system, acceptance). In an ISMS context, the V-Model supports the requirement for secure software development (ISO 27001 Annex A.8.25). It ensures that security requirements are defined early and verified at every test level.
